This is not your typical psychotherapy practice.
Do you want to make a change, but just never get around to it?
Do you want to make a change, but you’re waiting for enough time, money
or confidence?
Do you want to make a change, but you think it’s a pipedream, a long
shot, only something that happens in the movies?
Sometimes it feels virtually impossible to make the changes you desire. I
help people learn to act more compassionately with themselves through the
process of change. It takes time to alter our normal habits, patterns and
beliefs, so if its going to take a while to get to where you want to be,
wouldn’t it be easier if you were actually nice to yourself as you were
working on it.
I teach people how to use their body to calm their mind. By breathing
techniques, meditation and mindfulness practices you can learn to adjust
your thinking. You can learn to move away from beating yourself up because
you aren’t where you want to be YET! Turn down the mind chatter and learn to
focus our energy in a productive way. You might find you actually enjoy the
ride instead of wanting to be at the end already!
